5 DAYS MAASAI MARA SAFARI

Depart your Nairobi hotel or airport and proceed to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Make a stop over to view the Great Rift Valley. The valley captures tremendous changes in a topographic diversity with its escarpments, lakes and ancient granitic hills. The amazing view as you approach from Nairobi is quite unbelievable.  Arrive in the Mara in time for an afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, have a full day spent exploring Kenya’s most popular park with picnic lunches. The Mara is full of life all year round and a full day game drive gives you an opportunity to spot the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino and also cheetah. Visit in July to October  to witness the wildebeest migration where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross into the reserve, across the crocodile infested Mara River, in search of pasture.

 After breakfast enjoy a morning game drive as you keep an eye out for elusive predators including bat-eared foxes and spotted hyenas. A highlight of your safari vacation is a visit to the Maasai village. The Maasai welcome visitors to their manyattas for an up-close view of their culture and lifestyle. Admire their colourful attire, join them in their rhythmical singing and dancing and shop for some hand crafted jewellery and artefacts.
