KISITE MPUNGUTI & WASINI ISLAND DOLPHIN SAFARI

A one day excursion to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Reserve with a seafood lunch served on Wasini Island.  The reserve is a 2 hour drive from Mombasa and 45 minutes from Diani Beach and is accessed via a dhow cruise from the mainland.  The highlight of the trip is swimming with the dolphins, which are abundant here. Also present are turtles, rays, parrotfish and a multitude of other fishes. Humpback whales could be spotted too depending on the season.

After lunch, visit the Shimoni Caves for a brief tour and a bit of history about the slave trade in East Africa.
